Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) refers to a broad range of dispute resolution procedures and techniques that help enable adverse parties to come to an agreement either without, or outside of litigation with the assistance of a neutral third party.
I have been an arbitrator for Nevada’s Court-Annexed Arbitration Program since 2011, and have conducted hundreds of arbitrations, and I am available for private binding arbitrations.
Although arbitrations have a (well-deserved) reputation of being a tool of big business to quash legitimate consumer claims, when private binding arbitration is mutually agreed-to by parties in parity, it can serve as an effective tool for case-resolution. Private arbitration is significantly cheaper and more expeditious than litigation. If needed, I can work with the parties throughout the discovery phase to develop common-sense rules of evidence that can streamline the discovery and foundational requirements for the arbitration, again minimizing costs, but maintaining evidentiary integrity.
I am also available for half, full, or multi-day, or even weekend mediations. As a mediator, I know that no two cases are alike, and each party comes to a mediation with their own individual needs and expectations. With professional experience in the fields of personal injury, insurance defense, and small business representation, I appreciate and can communicate the potential pitfalls and strong points of each party’s case, and am prepared to communicate these aspects to the parties and their counsel in an effective, but when need be, delicate and sympathetic manner.
We have free wifi, and provide snacks and refreshments for all ADR conferences, and provide lunch for all-day conferences.
